I have been on the verge of a meltdown for quite some time...so it was really lucky that I chose to talk to my mother when I did.

She sent me a beautiful e-mail which made me very teary eyed.

~My Love, My Life~
This is dedicated to the girl I love. Her name is and she is my daughter. I am extremely proud of her and I know that whatever she does, she is a sensible and down to earth person. She does tend to push herself far too much and that can become a bad thing because the more one hoist oneself up on a higher plane, the harder it will be when there is a fall.

Remember, how we taught you when you were little and you wanted to test the hotplate! in spite us explaining to you that it is dangerous and that you will get yourself burnt. You decided to try when we were not looking. The results was a little burnt finger and a lot, a lot of wa..labaling... We took your little finger and we kissed it and you immediately felt better. Things are never that bad although it will look really horrible at that specific time when you are up in your arms and you only had so much time to do so many things. When tomorrow comes and the light is shining and you look up the sky and see what a glorious day it is. when you see people walking by without a care in the world. You will wonder what the fuss is. Always take a deep breath. If a problem cannot be solved at that point of time, don't keep bashing at it. Walk away from it and you will see it from a different perspective.

You are young and the future is yours. Learn to control it, do not let it control you. There is so much things to see and so many beautiful things to do. Don't miss this because you are always walking with your head down in deep thoughts worrying about things that will either go away or will get itself sorted out one way or another. Enjoy your parents, we are also only young once in this lifetime, enjoy your brother. he is only human but he loves you a lot as well.

Know that we accept and love you unconditionally "warts and all" (as they say it). What we hope to teach you is to be a good person. A kind and caring person one with compassion in her heart. What we do not want is a harden person with a jaded outlook in life. Don't be cynical because it will eat at your heart. It is a tall order to say love thy enemy! So, if you can't do it, just walk away from it. You will eventually learn that because we are all human and no one human is alike. We have to accept each person as they are otherwise we lose our uniqueness.

REMEMBER, we will always stand by your side. We will always be there to hold your little burnt finger and soothe it with our kisses and most of all our unconditional love. Relax and try to enjoy whatever time you have left at UTAR. It will never come back again. Have fond memories because this period will be one of the best times of your life.

Each person has their definition of 1st Class. To me, my daughter - is already more that 1ST CLASS. The rest is academic as they say.

Love,
Mum

I LOVE YOU TOO MUMMY! MORE THAN ANYTHING!
