You know...I always thought that I was pretty stand-offish when it comes to guys (Heck! One fella I knew told me when he first got to know me, he thought I was damned stuck up cos I wouldn't talk to him!) so it came as a real surprise when I was suddenly "paired up" with guys I knew for...well...just not a long time.

One, I'm sure my friends know who I'm talking about! So I'm not gonna address that one.

The latest guy came as such a surprise I almost crashed my car when a friend aired her...opinions. See...I went to a friend's house and saw the person in question (hereafter known as Guy X) with a girl (Girl Y) I also know. It was pretty obvious there was something going on there so...*grinz* After the customary teasing, I got into the car with a friend who suddenly said...

Friend X : Jo, can I ask you a question? Don't be angry ya?

Me : *amused* Ask la...I promise I won't get mad.

Friend X : *after some hesitation* Is it because you know I like Guy X that you won't ever get together with him?

Me : *almost crashes car* Hah??? Wah...the thought never even CROSSED MY MIND!

Friend X : No mar....cos you two quite ngam wan...

Me : Why in the world would you think so???

And so on so forth....won't go into her explanation....cos other friends and a certain other person I know very well seemed to think so as well!!! Aiyoo... Truthfully, the thought had never ever crossed my mind!

And just for anyone's info...if a friend tells me she likes someone, I immediately write that guy off. Even if I liked him too, I'd give way to my friend. Simply because, I'll always put my friends before any guy. Then again (and most of my friends know this), once I admit to myself that I like a guy, I immediately give up. Why? Cos I always think he'd never like me back anyways. Got sick of liking guys who ended up with girls I know...to whom I was always just the good friend. Aihz... whatever. No guy cannot die wan. *shrugs*

To Guy X, I wish you luck with Girl Y though I think the both of you aren't really right for each other. In fact, I think Friend X and Guy X are a better match! Maybe I'm biased but hey! I know you guys well enough! =D
