Thank GOD!

What's this with me and my life always being threatened huh? Btw, thank God I decided to ditch my assignment for a few hours and go hang out with Ping May and Joa.

Got there on time (as usual) and stood there staring at the Fashion Show (not yet started) and wondering why in God's name could such simplicity look so professional whilst when you want to do sumthin like it for your assignments ur f**king groupmates always bungle it up with garish crap?

Then, Joa came and we browsed in Borders for a while waiting for Ping to arrive (sound surprising??). Saw this fantastic book that, unfortunately, cost RM 111.90!! Darn! After Ping May finally came, we went around looking for a directory and realized sumthin very interesting about Times Square...simply that the directory on each floor was confined to that particular floor only! Which means that to find food, we had to go from floor to floor checking out the directories...*sighs*

Finally, we decided to eat at Chiku-Ho (fantastic Chicken Katsu Curry Don!!). Was joined by Joa's Ah Kong whilst we reminscended about all the old times and all the stupid silly things that used to happen!

When we left, I went back to PJ whilst Joa went to wait for her bf at Low Yat (I think... : P) and Ping went to meet her bro also at Low Yat. When I got back, I walked into my room and switched on the light... Eh? I stared at the light and thought, "Crap! Takkan the bulb blew? Just change wor!" So I stumbled through he dark room and tried to switch on the table lamp. Nope, nada!

Realizing that something was wrong, I went out and tried to switch on the outside lights, but to no avail. Thinking that it was just a popped fuse, I suddenly noticed a HUGE black burn mark by the telephone.

Went to investigate and this is the result. When I was away, it raine so heavily and lightning struck our TV aerial and the voltage was so high the thick wire snapped into half and the connector on the telephone shot off in a melted blob! Crap!

After calling the house owner and my roomie, I waited. They came and tinkered around, finally getting to the business of buying torchlights since it was obvious (since it was Sunday) that we would have no electricity for the night. When they left to go buy the torch lights, I happen to take my own (a small one) and went to check out my comp...

WTF!! The wall was also burnt black and all my wires melted! Why? Bcos the stupid TV line was in MY room next to MY computer!! SHIT!! The speakers melted and the wires were bristling from the melted plastic casing! The blast sorta put a few holes in my CPU casing though much later, I found out that the monitor, CD-rom and Hard Disk is still usable! Thank GOD!

The thing is, if I didn't go out with them, I would have been home, USING the computer and today, you guys would either have a fried goldfish for a friend or a dead one. So thank God!

Though...my assignment was due today and all the info is sorta gone so now I'm actually supposed to be doing it... : P

Cheerio anyways! All these accidents are making me realise that life is truly a gift! Treasure it and don't let small stupid things bother you or get you down... Life is too short for that! : )
